PSU Viking Film Festival

An all-new (but hopefully soon-to-be annual) film festival held at 5th Avenue Cinema and put on by Portland State University’s Sub-Basement Studios student production team, this event will feature a block of short films from a range of genres directed by current PSU students and alumni alike! With our approximately 3 hour festival, we aim to foster the growing film community in Portland and provide a welcoming space for emerging PSU filmmakers to network with fellow pacific northwest creatives.

Submission to this festival via FilmFreeway as well as event attendance will be FREE, though screening seats are limited so be sure to fill out the attendance form we will send you if your work is chosen for our short film lineup. While we will not be requiring any payment for you to attend the event, an opportunity to donate to the student team putting on the show will be available at the 5th Avenue Cinema venue on the day of the festival.

The only awards offered by this festival are official selection laurels for the directors of each short film chosen for live screening at our event. That, and the friends we’ll make along the way of course!
